S&G: Ok, here is what I have decided

I am going to go to CLC saturday morning and take a look at their boats. If i like one I will buy a stitch and glue kit. Hopefully that will go well. And after that i'd like to build a paddle from scratch, and perhaps in the future built a nice boat from scratch.

By the way, I am located in the DC Metro area, gaithersburg is the city. Just curious if any of you people are nearby..
