Other: If i build a boat from a kit, could i sell it???

I was at a sporting good store today, and i totally forgot that one could get a decent plastic boat for 700 bux the price of a kit. Now it has me wondering if i should just buy a plastic boat since it will last longer and stand up better in rivers. however if it spossible to sell the wood boat and get a good amount or even more, than i wouldn't feel so bad.
