I was showing a kayaking friend of mine the steps involved in building a strip boat. He had this blank stare. I noticed and said:

You have to understand, this is is not a kayak acquisition, its a woodworking (and more) project that happens to produce a kayak.

His response: I was thinking there are a lot of easier ways to get a boat!
