: I want to have a couple of padeyes at the bow and stern onf my Cirrus for a
: deck line. As there is no way I'd be able to reach these areas after the
: deck goes on I'd like to imbed a couple stainless washers and nylock nuts
: before.

: I've already predrilled the holes (oversize), filled with epoxy, drilled to
: size and attached the hardware. I'm thinking now that I'll goop up the
: hardware with an epoxy, cabosil and wood flour mix. I'll then lay a patch
: of glass over that.

: Will this setup be able to endure the removal and re-attachment of the screws
: for finishing?

: Any other suggestions??

: Best, Dave
You may want to vist the West epoxy site or find their book on boat construction for new style of deck hardware. They have been building for 30 years or so and have tested their idea's in the real world and testing labs. You may have only one option this late in the game, the fender washers. If you use a release the threads, your idea should be fine. I would check with West Systems site to see what they are using these days. If you have time may be a prototype.
