Yes the graphite rubs off but that is because it is sanded and not coated with anything. If you were to apply a coat of clear epoxy/and/or varnish over the graphite it would not rub off. But, it is a lot of work for a few black stripes, I would go with paint. Glen in Baie-St-Paul.

Copier/laser printer toner is not graphite.
