: Hello all,
: I am about to join the deck to the hull but I see that the two parts have
: REALLY shifted since I pulled them off the forms. The hull is about an
: inch narrower than the deck at the cockpit but a little wider at the
: stern. Is this normal or is the project in trouble? I have thought of
: using sticks wedged in the hull to make it wider and trying to use clamps
: or even sanding the ends to make the bow and stern even. How common is
: this. I'm a little worried I will not be able to join the boat together.
: Any ideas?
Hello Dave,
I had the same problem but not as severe as yours. However don't worry. Don't use tape to pull the hull and the deck together. Instead use web clamps. The clamp is a length of webbing with a rachet. It works wonderfully.
