You have options. You could install grab handles with no end pour by epoxying in tubes for the line to run through. A good choice is the plastic feed tubes used for bathroom sink use.

Grab handles are also use for towing.

You can always install them later.

If you peel back the masking tape used to seal the joint on the ends, often you'll see where epoxy has seeped through the joint giving you an indication that the joint was well wet out.

I have never seen a kayak come apart at the seams - ever.
