: varnish and turpentine. You can substitute boiled linseed oil for the tung
: oil and mineral spirits for turpentine, if you like. This blended finish
: is more durable than oil alone, but creates the same satin sheen and
: allows the wood to breathe. Apply it just like oil, wipe it on, let it sit
: for a few minutes, then wipe it off.

I'm glad you mentioned the 1:1:1 FINISH. It has been my favorite rifle stock and furniture finish for years. I was going to have to ask if anyone had used it on paddles. Thanks
