I started out with the notion that I would paint the hull because I thought that I would not like the "jigsaw" butt joint in the hull panels. I later decided, with input from my daughter (the boat is a graduation gift) to color the coaming, then we thought, a hull painted with just a "hint" of the purple in the coaming. Besides, I had a little trouble getting the stern fair, so I sanded and filled 'til I got it right, layers of ply showing...Not too pretty to be finished bright.

Maiden voyage should be the weekend of June 7th. I'm taking a group from church out on a trip. Em should be with us in her new boat!
