You're going to keep making mistakes - I did. When you get to epoxying the fiberglass your later layers will be better than the earliers ones, when you get to putting on reinforcement layers, the fairing you do later will look better than the fairing you did first. It's ok - make mistakes on the first boat then get better on the next and so on... (I'm still not done with the first, but I know it won't be the last).
