Like others have said, if you mean the paper itself, you can find all kinds of brands that make both 5 and 8 hole sandpaper. I own a Black & Decker, Bosch, Dewalt, and Porter Cable(2 actually) and find the Porter Cable to be smoother running and less vibration. The Dewalt has slightly more vibration but I think it removes material a little faster. Both have pad spin control so the pad doesn't spin up to damaging speeds when lifted off the work surface. I use the Bosch mainly for decks, picnic tables, etc. because it does not have spin control and it is not a palm type. I never really use variable speed. The whole point of having fast random orbits is to have a swirl free surface. Slow down the orbits and you risk more swirls.
