Hey Kenny,

I don't know of any "offsets" for the braces. All you need to do is glue in longer strips in the front half of the cockpit recess. Just kinda picture in your mind what you want. Then, when you mark the cut-out lines for the cockpit opening (where the coaming will be glued in), before you start cutting, draw out the braces - whatever shape and size you want. Neat thing is - the colors match up with the recess.

I cut out one side, then made a cardboard template to mark the other side so they'd be the same. Just make sure you leave them big enough. You can always trim them later if their too big.
