: Can anyone with experience tell me if it is better to leave the excess glue
: between strips to set up and scrape it all off when finished or try and
: wipe up the glue after each strip is placed. I am worried about glue
: staining the wood and being noticeable under the glass Thanks
I used a damp cloth to wipe up the excess glue on the outside of the hull. This meant virtually no scraping was needed on the outside. The inside was another matter.... as I couldn't wipe up the glue there were drips etc on the inside. I have several spots on the inside where the wood is a lighter colour after glassing (I guess I didn't scrape/sand enough). I would recomend wiping off as much as you can from the outside, and using just enough glue to minimize the drips on the inside.
Good Luck,
JJ
