Aha! I was actually thinking of doing just that - just in the interest of having a more comfortable 'yak and not for any other reason!

11" straight up. Er, I assume you mean peak of the hull to whatever of the hull, right at the coaming. Of course, my v is at least 1/2" deeper than it's supposed to be. Design height must be between 10" and 11". My feet (size 10) do feel a little cramped - but that part of the deal is livable!

But I do like the closed-cell foam idea... I think I'll pop over to the store and grab a bit...
