Congratulations on your maiden voyage. Sounds like you gave her quite a first test. I would hope that that is one of the rougher seas that you would encounter. Although getting dumped into constant 80 degree water may not be all that bad either. Compared to here in Michigan, where Lake Huron barely hits 75 (for 2 months) and Lake Superior at 60 degrees (probably for 2 weeks)!!!
Normally I say something like I hope you have smooth sailing, but in your circumstance, this may be more appropriate. "May you have rough chop always from the side and the wind at your face and the current against you!" Well, not all the time anyway. Best of luck in your paddling adventures. Don't be afraid to send a few pics of your adventures. They will probably kick you over to the Trip BB now that you are officially on the water. Be careful about sending pictures of your home with the street sign in the background, or you will have a bunch of KBB subscribers at your door looking for a place to launch.
