Charles, I built a flat lip for my Night Heron, and had a tough time finding the thin weather stripping material, I had to cut the 3/8 foam strip in half, but still my hatches are not flush to the deck, I also bought some liquid electric tape which I’m going to try next. You should go for the built-in channel. Where do you get this 1/8” neoprene?
