A combination of a sturdy hand, bruised knuckles, sanding blocks (curved and straight), sand paper (60 – 80 grit), a scraper, and lots of elbow grease will get the job done. It doesn’t have to look pretty, but should be smooth enough so the cloth will lay reasonably flat against the inside surfaces.
