: Hi Joe I am building a double also , are you able to post some pics I would
: love to see some . I am just starting to strip the hull. Thanks Jack
Hi Jack, sorry, while I have pictures of my progress I have no way of putting them on the net - don't know how to - I do have a scanner but do not know if or how that would reproduce my pictures.
If this is your first boat, as it is mine, I learned one major lesson which you may already know.
I did mine with zero staples. But, I used too much glue, at least on the hull. I discovered you only need the smallest amount placed in the cove. AND whenever there is ANY spill out clean it up immediately as well as is possible (not sure of best method as a damp cloth seems to spread the glue making it look clean only to show itself as a smeared line in the wwet out). That done be sure you sand ALL glue away as any that is left will show through the wet out of the glass. I wish I had used less glue and did a better clean up and more thorough sanding job. Something to watch for if not already known.
What design are you using - I did a Guillemot double, now building the coamings.
Thanks for your input.
Joe
