I've experimented a little with graphite. It tends to make a hard, slippery, brittle surface... much like graphite in a regular pencil lead. It may add some stiffness but I have never seen it documented. I would just pick up a can from West and play around with it. As I recall, West suggests combining it with Silica. What application are you thinking of?
