S&G: CLC North Bay weathercocking

I wasn't able to reference this subject through a message board search, so:
What are some of the workarounds builders have come up with the deal with the CLC North Bay's (I've got the skinny one) ludicrous weathercocking?
Here are my issues:
1. I don't want to install a fixed skeg.
2. My aft hatch opening is directly behind my cockpit, and thus not far aft enough to do skeg box work close to the stern -- that is, not without cutting another aft hatch opening.
