I've been reading archived posts about this stuff and I'd like to use the clear coat on the wedding present canoe. I figure I won't be around often enough to help them keep it varnished properly, so the better protection I can give it to start with, the better.
I called the "factory" and the closest distributor is Jamestown Dist in Rhode Island. But when I went to order some, he talked about a 1 1/2 qt kit - a 2 part mix. Is that right? I thought it was just straight out of the can with a cross linker available for the top coat. The guy at Jamestown didn't know anything about the cross linker, either, which made me wonder if he was selling me the correct stuff. I told him I would double check it and call him back.
Thanks for any help in sorting this out. I'd hate to buy the wrong stuff.
