Tom, you described my thinking exactly. I am now working on my second stripper. My goal is not a kayak that has the perfection of a mass-produced boat, but highlights the natural beauty of wood in a well-made, but hand-made, creation.

Nature produces the greatest beauty of all, and as we look around us we see that nature really does abhor a straight line, just as the landscape designer William Kent wrote somewhere around 300 years ago. The graceful curves of our kayaks and the natural beauty of wood shine far more than most imperfections in craftsmanship.
