You can apply the next coat of epoxy any time. If you need to scrape the area smooth, wait 'til the epoxy is green-cured, and scrape. Make sure to remove any specks, as they will likely show as white spots. I fill cracks etc, and go on with a saturation coat, or glass coat as soon as green cure is achieved.
