I don't think it's necessary to defend the OK Scrambler, or any other well designed boat. Boats, especially small paddled craft, are designed for fairly narrow and specific requirements. The OK Scrambler does what it is designed to do. So does a sea kayak...but....neither can do all things well. There will continue to be contreversy considering the best boat. There simply isn't such an animal. There are probably best boats designed for specific purposes. Those who unfavorable compare different types of boats are saying..."which is the best fruit? An apple, an orange...or a banana. Different things for different people for different purposes.
Anyway...your question was about fit. Too bad I don't know a thing about it. Basically, for me, if what the people in the know say to do sucks...I do something else...whatever is comfortable for me...and works for me...is what I do. Shucks...here we go again...
