Hi Charles,
Thanks, the back is coming along fairly well, so I should be OK for the trip.
I'm paddling from Kenora, Ontario to Point Du Bois, Manitoba, on the Winnipeg River. The trip could probably be done is 4 or 5 days quite easily, but the river is wide with lots of islands and bays to explore, the fishing is top notch, and there are a few lakes just a short paddle and if the weather is dry a short carry from the Winnipeg River. One lake in paticular is called Crowduck Lake, it is a catch and release lake, and the fishing is just incredible. It is not uncommon to catch and release 200 fish in a day. Boy won't I be embarrassed if I have to write in my trip report that I got skunked.
Thanks for your interest. I will post a full report on the Kayak Trips board when I return.
Ken
