Hi James,

The glass tape that the book refers to comes on a roll and has finished edges. It does not fray while you are working with it (except for the cut ends). It comes in many different widths - 1" over 2" are what the book calls for to do the internal seam and 2" for the external seem.

It would be almost impossible to work with hand cut glass for this application.
