Ditto in Ken ...
Not really importatn that you have a nice featherd tape edge on inside of boat. The glass tape does require a little extrra epoxy though. Maybe I just bought too heavy of a tape. Definitely use your own bias-cut scraps on the exterior seems though It's easier to deal wit a little fraying that to try and feather in the seamed edges of the tape. Also it's harder to get tape to smoothly lay over sharp deck-to-hull transitions.

: Hi James,

: You could use the cloth you are using for the rest of the boat and cut it
: into strips but as mentioned. But, for the inside seam it doesn't make
: much sense to wrestle with home cut tape. You can't see the inside seam so
: it doesn't have to be really pretty. Do as neat of a job as you can, try
: to minimize drips, and when you are finished and it is all cured, just run
: your sander over it to take off any sharp edges that may cut you or your
: gear. I would suggest using the hand cut tape on the outside seam, due to
: the fact that it is easier to fair and wets out clearer and more easily.

: Enjoy the building!!
