: Last night I glassed the deck of my Pygmy COHO. I have no real wood working experience and no fiberglassing experience (until now that is) and all has gone well. I have worked alone and even the steps that may be easier with two are managable alone. I followed the instructions, made a few (in hindsight) stupid calls to Pygmy and even built in some modifications I learned about here on the board. Although I have made a few mistakes, she should float when the time comes.
A chief competitor of Pygmy in the stitch and glue boat business is Chesapeake Light Craft (clcboats.com) so to broaden your selection you might want to look there. I have been very pleased with my kit, Pygmy's support and considering you location, it seems sensible to start with Pygmy.
