I'll make one and take a picture of it in place on a tablesaw if I need to. Until then picture a 1X3 or so about 12" or so long. Square cut on each end. Cut kerfs up one end around 6", or a litle more, and 1/8 to 1/4" apart...depending on how strong you want the "spring" tension. You will then have the featherboard. Push from the side on the end with the cut kerfs and you will feel how it becomes progressively stronger as each uncut section comes into contact with the next. To install it simply lay it flat on the table at an angle to the fence and, of course closer to the fence than the boards you want to cut. Clamp it in place. The boards to be cut will run only against the side of your featherboard....not touching all the wood fingers. Installed as stated will keep the board against the fence. You can also install the featherboard on the fence to keep the board down. If you still need a picture let me know. My tablesaw is covered with cardboard and two bulkheads with curing epoxy/fiberglass right now...so I can't get to it till tomorrow or the next day. I'm fixing to go to work in a few minutes also.
