I've most always used 1/4" plywood, but on my current strip built I'm using 1/8" with 6oz cloth on both sides. Not sure how I'll like it, but we'll see. I know some people use minicell foam, but I never have. I'm not sure I'd like it anyway. Some phsycological thing with having hard bulkheads I guess. I have used the blue styrofoam board from Lowe's cut to fit, encased in epoxy/fiberglass, and then installed just like the plywood bulkheads. That worked fine.
