Thanks for the suggestions. At least I am not alone.

As I said this is certainly not an issue to worry about but I still don't think the advice gets at the root cause.

I use a solid zero clearance fence. I have a feather board infront of and behind the bit that holds the strip againts the fence as well as a vertical one directly over the strip that holds the strip to the table as it go by the bit.

The oddest part of this is that the same setup gave me no snipe in November when I cut most of my strips. Can't think of anything different this time.
