Has anyone out there paddled a Glen-L 17' touring kayak? I am thinking of building one & would appreciate any feedback from builder/paddlers of this craft.

I am 6' tall, weigh 80kg (178 pounds) and have been paddling for about one year, but not much good in rough seas and can't roll as yet.

Intended use is for sea touring (2 to 3 days) and the occasional river marathon event (Murray Marathon 400km over five days).

I have paddled a plastic "Penguine" by Q-Kayaks of New Zealand & have found that to be well suited to my ability & style.
