Jay, I think 3 years is a pretty good test of time that the epoxy coating worked. I also used polyester. But I think the application of epoxy over the polyurethane probably didn't adhere as well as it would perhaps directly into the weave of the fabric.

I'm tempted to try on a next boat since I would like a little more abrasion resistance that may be offered by the epoxy.
