: So, guys, which is thinner - US Composites or Raka. I'm currently using Raka
: 127/350 but have the "Texas problem" in spades - it's over 100

: AND thinner, I'm going to have to switch when I run out of current stock.

Hi John,
From my little experience with this epoxy and about 7.5 gal of Raka, I'd have to say that they are both very thin when compared to System Three. But the two in question are probably of equal viscosity, but the US Comp resin is very clear and doesn't seem to me to be of the same quality as Raka (that's totally a personal preference thing). Therefore, I can only recommend that you order a small quantity from them and try it out. The smallest amount is 24oz for $11.50 or you could get 1.5 Qts. for $17 (plus shipping). I'm calling them today to swap the medium hardener that they sent me for their slow hardener. After I try it again with the slow, I'll let you know if I like it any better. We should not have to deal with blush, and now I've had it on 5 boat related projects, I won't use the medium anymore. No big deal, but it does add extra clean-up steps and if it goes uncaught, you've got a mess to deal with. I enjoy trying different epoxies, but if it doesn't rate up with Raka, it won't get used much. And I'll share my experiences with this board. If you do try some, please tell us what YOU think. Thanks.
