After jumping in with both feet, I learned a few things: Always have extra boxes of latex gloves or you'll tear the house apart looking for them (very frustrating). As Nick reminded me, don't use vinegar to wash up. And the one lesson that I learned was that after wetting out a total of three layers of glass with the coaster pieces in place, it looked great. That's when I decided to wrap it all up tight. A good idea, but the wax paper on top was a bad call. Should have used vellum or something stiffer, mylar maybe. The wax paper folds and creases and leaves those indents in the top surface. This will take some sanding and several fill coats to get rid of those. Other than that, this has been one of my easiest projects ever. And probably the most fun. Glad you enjoyed it, I'm sure you'll see many of my projects on the water by mid summer. I'll do a similar treatment to the rear deck tomorrow. Then on to cockpit and coaming. More pics upon completion. I'll have it at the R2D2 this summer.
