: These detailed pictures will be a great help to many people. Seems like you
: are moving right along. After spending so many hours on my strip kayak I
: can now remember why I like S&G building so much. It's FAST.
I am banging this boat out. It is a prototype and will get used hard. A fine finish has not been a priority. I got the hull varnished today, tomorrow I'll outfit it with foot braces, seat and bulkheads, ready to be scratched up at the Meet at the Beach on Saturday. I've built a stripper in a similar amount of time, but there is definitely less labor involved with the S&G. I don't like the results as well as a stripper, but I think with the stain and the non-standard panel joints it will be an distinctive looking boat.
