: Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Great idea. Here are my suggestions: Decide on a specific cause or charity. Find an area where you can really make a difference. Then start getting other people interested in the project by telling them about the difference you want to make in that area... in a way that inspires them. If you can inspire someone then they will do just about anything.
Get a member of your club that knows someone who can write a very good press release. Email some local columnists to ask if they typically are interested in stories like that. Then, and this is key, give the project away to one of the people you inspired earlier. You want to give the project to another person so you can continue to build the team while they execute the actual project. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time and get the most influential people you can find on board. Make the project be about helping other people not kayaking. I hope this helps. Good luck with it.
