Thanks for your interest. The drawings were done on CAD, after assembling and carefully measuring the actual inlay linear strips (mahogany between basswood), in order to ensure that the wood pieces would match the drawing, as it would later be reprinted as a carving template. BTW I've post three more shots on the link, showing a bit more of the process, and the (almost) finished appearance.
