Hey ya

: chips/salsa/tequila on a hot sunny day. Nap in the afternoon, of course. I

Of course, the nap in a hammock, works for us.

: am glad that no one out there bashed on me for this project, thinking that
: I was promoting drinking and paddling. I don't think that would be wise.

Well, I do go paddling around on hot days with a couple beers which I like to stop and visit the surfer types. It's a diplomacy thing that gets friends and my place on the breaks.

Speaking of bashing, forgive me for bashing you on the epoxy on the hands thing. I did a fair bit a searching around and queries around, and chatted with my old team. My IH in the teamhad a lot to say and refer me to. It seems that in a longer-term exposure (meaning use of epoxy) issue, sensitivity and the inevitable auto immune reaction is essentially guranteed, some having sensitivity sooner then others (which they call a "threshold response level"). Another concern is the long-term effects of some of the constituents, alone and in synergistic reaction with others, chief among them being BPA. In terms of those constituents, in seems that latex gloves are to be avoided over denser materials like neoprene, vinyl, etc. (in the world of Personal Protection Equipment in the emergency responder arena, "break-through" is rapid in latex).
I left my IH with a homework assigment: is there a VOC offgassing issue in long-term exposure sensitivity, and what are some of the strongly suspected other health effects. I never really sat down and talked about all the epoxies and esters before. Kinda scary the first thing said: "Oh! You really want to be careful..."

On that happy note, best of weekends to you and yours. Going to do a little sailing and diving with friends.
