Marc;
Here's what I've done.
Use strapping tape to join the halves.
lay boat on it's side.
measure out the tape , 6 inches less than the length of the boat, cut the tape into 2 pieces and roll up each into a snug roll.
Soak one in 2 oz of resin for 2 or 3 min, wring it out , start unrolling in the cockpit towards one end. Use your hands as far as you can then a stick to get into into the ends. Then use a cut off brush on the end of the stick to smooth it out. Best to put some doochey schmutz into the seam first!!
Do the same with the other end. The joint in the tapes should meet behind the cheek plates.
I use a small clamp to hold the brush onto the stick so I can go back to the stick if needed.
The ends are the only hard part, but it's over quickly.
