Hi Pete,

Ulli Hoeger had a good article in the Dec/Jan 2000/2001 issue of Wavelength magazine. Do a search at www.wavelengthmagazine.com on volkskayak.

One of the local dealers has a 3-piece sectional NDK Explorer, and it's pretty sweet. For a mechanically inclined person, assembly would be about 5 minutes. For someone all thumbs or with short arms, it could be 20-25 minutes.

: Hi there, all.

: I have someone asking me about assembling an Arctic Tern 14 as a 3-piece
: take-apart kayak. For some reason, I can't seem to find the threads that
: are out there about doing this. I know they are there; I read many of
: them.

: Basically, I'm trying to find out how to do it, how much extra weight it
: 'costs', and whether assembly is as quick and easy as hoped for.

: Thanks,

: Pete Roszyk,
