Another couple of reasons NOT to use bottom paint- it's pretty toxic stuff, generally designed to slowly release toxic material to prevent growth of algae, etc. Also, it tends to be extremely heavy paint. I've used topside paints on my kayaks... no problems. Enjoy the process!
