I am not the expert on wood types but when I was trying to find some swamp cypress for a custumer,a local in New Orleans said it is not possoble but a forest grown was.He said it has simalar properties, all are grown in the deep South. Port Orford is on the Pugent Sound in Washington State. Ceders can grow is lots of places but most of the stuff we see is from the Northwest and most are lighter than Cypress. My guess is around 32 to 34 lbs. per cubic foot for Cypress and 23 to 28 for ceders.Hope this helps and is close to right.
