I should put progress in quotes because it is pretty slow going. I'm beginning to doubt if I will have the project wrapped up this summer. Anyway, this is a tandem kayak design that I'm building as a double paddle canoe. This is a built-in handle that I've been working on. I laminated the underside of the handle below deck to about 1" thickness. In this picture, I'm joining the miters of the trim with carpenter's glue. I found (on the front handle) that epoxy will give me dark glue lines when it is used this way. I will take the plastic away tomorrow and glue it down with dookie schmutz.
