No, a keyhole is better than an ocean cockpit because of easier egress and ingress. An ocean cockpit offers continuous bracing across the front of the cockpit. A keyhole is better than a large oval because of thigh bracing, but you can glue wood blocks into a large oval and make it a keyhole.
