Hi Mark...
I have about an 3" overlap in the middle of mine, I have been posting my page off & on, its my 16' "Little Big Auk" an experimental design based in Nick's 10' Little Auk, No one has mentioned the fiberglass job. But I did blow my coaming wrap very bad. I had too sq. of corners and had air bubbles form on the under th lip like crazy. I'm going to sand them off after this season of paddling. Attached is my web page, nothing work's but the "photos" tab. take a look at the mid point, center of the Kayak/Canoe and see if you can see the overlap.
