: deep South. Port Orford is on the Pugent Sound in Washington State. Ceders
: can grow is lots of places but most of the stuff we see is from the
: Northwest and most are lighter than Cypress. My guess is around 32 to 34
: lbs. per cubic foot for Cypress and 23 to 28 for ceders.Hope this helps

why I asked is that here in NZ we call POC , Lawson Cypress .I guess all cypresses are of the ceda family.Beutiful white light timber , lovery smell , must have very sharp tools though and must look long and hard to find full length clear timber.
