April 1996. Wish I had it handy, it's back home in a bookshelf somewhere. IIRC, the author used his with a mask to just roll down and watch the fish, etc. Could get an easy 2-3 minutes out of it. Freaked folks onshore, though.

A snorkel mouthpiece cheap and appropriate for this (bent the right way, etc) has been on my scrounge list ever since. Haven't found it, but haven't made a concerted effort.
