: Boy what a bunch of ripe bananas we have here! Myrl with fart tubes and Chip
: puts bags over his head! No wonder I enjoy this forum. I guess I'm due for
: another dose of epoxy fumes so I can catch up with you guys!

It certainly does get crazy around here from time to time, and that's why I like it also. For someone to stumble across this site and start reading the posts on kayak building, they'd surely think they've found a gold mine. With such a wide range of contributors, only a small percentage are considered professionals, several true craftsmen, many experienced builders, but most with just a boat or two under their belt, some newbies that have already started and others that haven't, but then as they read on, they come to the conclusion that some of these guys are simply nuts. :D
Anybody that's reading this post, but can't stop thinking about their next project or has wood strips dancing in their head day&night, has a problem. Please, remove your fingers from the keyboard, take your eyes off of the screen and get yourself into a woodshop fast. Don't be alarmed, you'll be okay. Just don't delay. The only known cure for this sort of severe boat building bug is to make sawdust. Apparently the small particles of wood chips created during the cutting or sanding of various species of wood can and will suppress this constant urge to assemble kayaks in a fashion only known by those who regularly check in with this board. When you finally must leave the shop, don't stay out long because these symtoms will reoccur, and you'll have to start another project, just to keep it from spreading.

This also seems like the appropriate time to thank Nick once again and all of you that post your experiences for others to learn from, and especially PGJ. Nobody says it like Paul. Thanks, you've been quite an inspiration for many of us over the years. Thought you might like to know that I've added an all foam/glass kayak to my list of TTD.

What have you been building lately, Glen? Your kayaks, especially the strip model you built are very cool. True craftsmanship.
