I've always liked those drawings. I don't mind saying, I borrowed heavily from them for my kayak cart. See http://www.chipsandresky.com/paddles/images/cart3.jpg Sorry I don't have a picture that shows the finished fitout. I didn't put an axle on mine in order to get higher clearance but you'd want an axle the way you drew it for the bike trailer idea. I've only played around with it but it seems to work great.
